Everyday Spring Makeup Faves

Hello readers! It’s finally starting to feel a bit more like Spring as each day passes by…the sun is staying out longer and the air is getting warmer and I couldn’t be any more happy about it. Every morning this past week I have been getting up and running to my bedroom window to see if the buds started to form on the trees…can you tell I’m excited for everything to bloom!? Well, just as the seasons change so does my everyday makeup routine. In the spring I love wearing lighter, pinky toned makeup because it is so fresh and bright looking. Today I am going to be sharing all of my beauty faves for the springtime! Let’s talk makeup -> IMG_7645-1

My favorite powder for the springtime is the Maybelline Fit Me Set and Smooth Powder. This powder is medium coverage and I love dusting this over a light foundation or BB cream. Finishing off your light liquid makeup with this powder will give your face a flawless look without having your face feel like it is caked with product. This powder will also give your face a matte finish which I love…nothing is worse than your skin looking oily!

I am head over heels for this blush! This is the NYX powder blush in the shade peach and it is the perfect color for the spring! The powder is extremely pigmented and blends beautifully onto the skin giving off a very natural look. What I love most about this peachy pink color is that it looks amazing on all skin types and gives your skin that beautiful pop of color!

I am obsessed with my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette because it has the most perfect colors for this time of year! The palette starts off with light rose gold pinks and progressively gets darker which is great because the different makeup looks you can create with this are endless. The color payoff is incredible and the powder doesn’t crease throughout the day which is awesome because your makeup will always look as if it was just applied! I have been using limit as my base, mixing trick and liar and tapping that over top of limit, putting nooner in my crease and strange in my inner corner for my everyday eye makeup!

I am crazy for this Dior Blackout Mascara and Maximizer Base Mascara. Both of these are in a travel size which I recommend buying when you are trying out a new expensive product because nothing is worse than spending a lot of money on makeup that is just okay. First I apply the Maximizer Base Mascara which is white but dries on clear. This is designed to lift and lengthen the lashes and act as a primer so that the mascara stays on the lashes for the whole day/night. Next I go in with the Blackout Mascara and every time I use it, I can’t believe how long my lashes get. The wand is large which gives volume but is also very easy to work with! If you’re in the market to indulge in a new mascara I definitely recommend trying this out!

Ever since I was a little girl I have always had this fascination/obsession with Chanel. I remember walking through Macy’s and being in awe whenever I saw the Chanel makeup counter and wishing that I could buy everything. Now that I am older I can luckily indulge in some Chanel products every once in a while and I adore it. Just swiping on this lipstick gives you enough confidence for a lifetime. The packaging is so elegant and classy…it’s Chanel nonetheless…but more importantly the product inside is incredible. I received this Chanel Coco Rouge lipstick in #80 Suspense, from my bestie Justine from France as a present and I wear this lipstick all of the time. It has a gorgeous sheer formula which is buildable if you are into wearing a more intense color. For the spring I like to swipe this on my lips for a more sheer and natural look. This lipstick is hydrating and gives your lips a super pretty pink sheen with soft red undertones.

To me, brushes are the most important part of wearing makeup…it’s all about the proper application. Ever since I started to wear makeup I have always used MaryKay brushes and have never even considered a new brush brand because I love them so much. These brushes are made with synthetic hair and do an amazing job blending makeup so that the products I use look natural not cakey.
