I am officially on summer vacation woohoo! To kick off the season, my sisters and I took a trip into Princeton for the evening. My latest summer trend obsession has been blue and white prints and top/bottom combos. Keep on reading to check out how I styled my hair, did my makeup, and put together my outfit!
I love a light curl in the summertime. I used my NuMe 32 inch barrel wand to get this loose and bouncy look! I took about one inch sections of hair, wrapped it around the barrel, held the hair on the barrel for about 7 seconds, and repeated the process until all of my hair was curled. I then ran my fingers through my hair, separating the curls a bit to give off a more natural and effortless appearance. Finally, I spritzed in some Suave Max Hold Hairspray to lock in the curls and prevent them from falling out. As far as makeup is concerned, I kept it simple by applying my Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Foundation, warmed up my face with my Milani Baked Bronzer in Golden and added some color back into my face with the NYX Powder Blush in Peach. On my eyes, I used the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette and used a mix of rose gold tones and created big lashes thanks to the Maybelline Colossal Mascara. I achieved the perfect pink pout by using the NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick in the shade Tea and Cookies.
Now onto the outfit! I am loving this blue and white high neck printed tank for the summer. I paired this little top with some white jeans which are definitely a summer staple! This hat stole my heart when I found it in American Eagle and I had to get it! It is extremely versatile. I can envision this hat with an adorbs bathing suit, with an outfit similar to the one I’m wearing, with a simple sundress, or even with a fancier printed maxi when out to dinner…the possibilities to wear this hat are endless and makes you look so classy and sophisticated! For shoes, I am wearing my fav two-toned sandals that I picked up last year from Target. I always find the best shoes there so if you haven’t ever scoped out the shoe section definitely make sure you do on your next trip.
My sisters and I spent the rest of the night walking around the University and Palmer Square making stops into out fav shops. There was also an outdoor concert along with food trucks when we went which was awesome! I loved seeing all of the families, friends and couples walking around and enjoying the gorgeous weather…it definitely put me straight into summer mode!
I am traveling a ton in the near future and I’m so excited to share all of my adventures with you all! Make sure to follow me on Instagram @lexieslifexo and Twitter @lexieslifeblog to be the first to see where I’m traveling to! Write to you all very soon.
