Fall Fashion Favorites

Fall has always been my absolute favorite season. I’m crazy about every little aspect that comes with it; the cool crisp air, changing leaves, endless rows of apple trees, plentiful pumpkin patches and the oh-so delicious spiced lattes! However, what I look forward to most about fall is the fashion. Warm earth-toned colors, cozy knits and fancy fabrics are the key to my heart. Today I put together one cohesive outfit encompassing all of my favorite fall trends of 2016! Let’s get into it!

Channel your inner Audrey Hepburn and rock statement sunglasses this fall! Sunnies are such a fun way to add personality and glam to your look. Urban Outfitters always has the best selection of unique, trendy, and well made sunglasses. Definitely check out UO if you’re in the market for new shades.

The 90’s style resurgence has me over the moon. I am seriously crushing on chokers this season! Not only are they adorable but they are affordable. Available in a multitude of materials including velvet, leather, suede, lace, and ribbon, this trend certainly adds a little something special to your look.

Dusty rose is the color of the season and I couldn’t be happier about it! I decided to incorporate this color into my outfit by sporting this hue of pink in a structured handbag. I love how this muted tone adds a pop of color in a subtle, understated, and sophisticated way.

Bold lips have always been a staple in my makeup routine. Fortunately for me, this fall it’s all about the dark, vampy lip colors! I’ve tried a multitude of different lipstick brands and I always go back to MAC cosmetics; they make my all time favorite dark lipsticks. Not only are they long-lasting but they are incredibly pigmented and glide on smooth and velvety.

Whilst scrolling on Zara I came across these suede over the knee boots and it was love at first sight…I bought them immediately. These shoes look adorable with mini skirts, dresses, and jeans. Slip these boots on to make any outfit look fancy and luxuroious! I can’t wait to wear these shoes all season long.

Floppy hats are a trend that I personally love so much. The delicate felt adds a sweet and feminine touch to your look. This soft caramel colored hat screams fall in the best way! My Grandman Marilyn always rocked a hat, so whenever I wear one I think of her!

Why I’m Obsessing Over Aloe!

Whenever I hear the word aloe, sunburned skin comes to mind! It is the ultimate cooling relief after a day of too much sun exposure. Last weekend, I took a trip to the beach and got a bit of color on my face. As soon as I came home I decided to put a pump of after sun aloe lotion all over. My face felt so much better almost instantaneously but I was unaware of what other benefits aloe lotion was having on my skin…get ready for a #miracle. Continue reading

Summer Sundress

When the weather is warm, there is nothing I love more than wearing a sundress…especially when it is exploding with color! Dresses in the summertime are my go to because they are so easy; just slip it on and you’re ready to conquer the day in style! While shopping at Flutter Boutique I was instantly drawn to this colorful printed number and couldn’t resist taking it home with me. Everything from the colors, the pattern and the handkerchief hem had me in love! What I love most about this dress is how versatile it is. The midi length can easily transition from day to night. For daytime I would go casual with it and pair the dress with a cute pair of sandals while for nighttime I would dress it up with some jewelry and a pair of high wedges. Continue reading

Virginia is for Lovers

Hi lovely readers!

Last weekend my family and I took a quick trip to Virginia (obsessed with their state motto “Virginia is for Lovers”…too cute!) and I couldn’t have had a more amazing time! Whenever I take trips with my family we are always bound to have lots of fun, lots of laughs, and create memories that we know we will be talking about for years to come. We visited two places during our stay! Keep reading to find out where! Continue reading

1960’s Vintage Pink Coat

A few weekends ago while I was walking around the charming town of Salem, I stumbled upon a vintage shop called The Joyful Artisans. Naturally I had to stop in and take a peak because I adore anything and everything vintage! As I walked through the doors, I was greeted with the warmest, friendliest welcome from the lovely owner Christine Mendyk. Her shop is absolutely beautiful…the walls are covered in every type of hat imaginable, the tables are coated with ridiculously gorgeous jewelry, and the racks of clothes and shoes are filled with absolute treasures. My eyes were darting in every which way looking at all of the merchandise…I was amazed at all of the inventory she had in her space! I could have spent a year in the store and still not see everything that she carried. Making my way towards the back of the store, I spotted something pink. Continue reading

Sun and Stripes in Salem

Last weekend my family and I took a quick trip to Massachusetts to do some exploring and visit family! I’ve been to Massachusetts once before a few summers ago and I fell in love with the state. We vacationed in Boston and the Cape and did a day trip to Martha’s Vineyard. To say it was breathtaking is a complete understatement. This time around we visited Salem and Marblehead. Again, the beauty of the areas we visited mesmerized me. Every place we adventured was surrounded by gorgeous water and boats, the sun was shining bright and the air was warm and breezy. Below are some of my favorite moments from the trip! Continue reading

Handkerchief Hem Midi Dress

Tis the season for outdoor activities, festivals, and all things fun! This past weekend I attended Princeton, New Jersey’s Communiversity Arts Festival which is a fair filled with music, food, shopping, and fun! The streets are lined with local restaurant booths selling amazing food, shops selling their best jewelry and clothing, choreographed group dances performing all along the road, and there is even a stand filled with puppies that you can adopt…I could spend hours there just petting the cuties! When I attend outdoor events such as these, I always make sure I pick out an outfit that is fashionable but most importantly comfortable for me to walk around in all day. The last thing you want is to be roaming around and thinking about how much your feet hurt or how you wish you had picked out a different outfit. My go to ootd for when I know I’m going to be walking around is a dress and a comfortable pair of sandals. For specifics on my outfit details just keep reading! Continue reading

Black Off The Shoulder Shirt

Off the shoulder shirts are most definitely my favorite trend of this Spring and Summer. The silhouette is dreamy and romantic and shows off the perfect amount of skin…enough to feel flirty but not over exposed. One of my favorite off the shoulder tops is this black one I am featuring in the pictures below. I bought this top from a local boutique where I work and from the second it arrived into the store I knew that I had to have it. I love wearing off the shoulder tops with distressed jeans to balance out the femininity of the shirt with the edginess of the jeans. Continue reading
